Important reminder for me, thanks @bobbischellerer for posting this morning! It is easy to take things personally when in reality other people’s actions are out of your control. I’m learning now finally as a mother ( 4 years down the road!) to take care of myself first, and to stop trying to please others around me. In turn this benefits my daughter and her needs. I always worried about not making others around me happy, a form of control they always had on me. This is not a realistic way of life. Because, unfortunately, no matter how hard you try, someone will always have something to say or feel that is not always the nicest. I’m learning if I worry about all of these things then I am consumed, and I can’t come with a clear, healthy mind to take care of my daughter, husband, and myself. I’m learning time heals all, let it solve the negative emotions of others, and let yourself be in peace. .
