As I walked my 4 year old to camp today, we realized every elevator leading to her camp was out of service. If I wasn’t pushing a baby stroller, the two of us would have ran down the stairs. But this was not possible this morning. I hustled along in the heat ( hellooo summer!) and urged my 4 year old to keep moving too. I knew the only way down was to go all the way around the block, and that would lead to the lower level. Those who know me know I hate to be late so I quickened my steps through this. My 4 year old kept up with her little feet shuffling along behind me. We finally reached the familiar area, our usual route where the elevator would have lead us to. It was then that my 4 year old said with pure happiness “Momma we did it!” This instantly made me stop in my tracks and grab her little hand. And I said, “Sianna, where there’s a will…. “
And she said, “There’s a way”… Something I would say to her repeatedly as she was growing up. We walked hand in hand with huge smiles the rest of the way. It was a great reminder this morning that There is always a way. Thanks Sianna. .
